Meta Tags, Keywords and Search Description for all posts
What are meta tags and keywords? and how are they used? Why is it important?
Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a page's content; unlike meta description or search description, the meta tags don't appear on the page itself, but only in the page's code. We all know tags from blog and social networks culture, and meta tags are more or less the same thing, little content descriptors that help tell search engines what a web page is about. Meta tags or keywords are very significant SEO terms. To find your site’s rank better in search engine, you have to add meta tags or keywords in every page of the website. But when you want to put keywords in every blogger posts, you can’t because there is only meta description place in blogger. There you cannot find keywords adding space.
So if you want to add meta tags or keywords also, you have to add some codes on your template. Meta tags are also as important as meta description. Meta tags help you to increase healthy and better traffic.
How to add Meta tags/keywords and Description
- Log in your blogger. account and chose your blog
- Go to Theme > Edit HTML
- And find the code <b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>
- Then paste the below codes below the above code. or add just above </head> tag.
<meta content='PAGE-DESCRIPTION' name='description'/>
<meta content='PAGE-KEYWORDS' name='keywords'/>
</b:if>
Note:
1. Replace the url of your blog with PAGE-URL.
2. Write and replace your blog description with PAGE-DESCRIPTION.
3. Replace meta keywords in PAGE-KEYWORD.
for example;
<meta content='example, keywords, cool' name='keywords'/>
- Save Template and that's it.

Note: You can write different Meta description for different posts but you can only use same Meta keywords for all posts with this codes. I'm still learning how to make different keywords for each posts.
